10 Comments:
I hate doing this, since I think my first comment was correcting something you posted, but here goes:
The Hornet was produced by AMC, not GMC. I learned to drive on a 1973 AMC Hornet hatchback. My dad then replaced it with a 1970 AMC Hornet coupe. The '73 was green, the '70 was black. The AMC 232 motor was a great one, very reliable. I kinda miss the Black Hornet, but not the Green Hornet (AKA The Death Trap).
Ahh, Mono, my nemesis. ;) I would love to see you comment when I haven't said something inaccurate.
You're right, it was AMC. It's been a loooong time. Had to put oil in it daily, and the damn thing threw a rod after 6 months. But it only cost me $300! Did I mention the missing floorboard on the passenger side?
Sounds like my dad's '73.
I once put my finger through the fender, it was so rusty.
He ended up selling it for $50 to some guy one winter, but was upfront with him when he sold it, telling him that the brakes didn't work, but that it had a brand new radiator in it.
Maybe one of these days I'll make it down to the West End & catch one of your shows.
oh damn. I'm doing it.
And you completely rock for the ATHF.
Orange cars rule! My car is orange! It rules! Theory proven.
I'm glad you posted again.
Ok, ok, I have no choice since two of you tagged me.! LOL!!
Damn! Work is slow. I hope something breaks soon.
still reading from Houston.
Technically, wasn't Vancouver a "Weasel Vacation" i.e. work paid for this trip to a very nice place but I got to vacation in addition to work?
Your Hornet would have been happy next to my purple Gremlin.
xoxo
Yes, you're right, but it was so lovely I still consider it a vacation.
Purple gremlin! My favorite color AND movie! (not really, I hated that movie.)
Hope to come visit soon, will let you know when. Spring Break maybe.
