Don't use that one......Tumble weeds will roll by. I saw on the news that they were shutting down buildings in the West End to build condos. Is the Comedy Theatre still going to be open?
Tom - the Marketplace building has been sold to a developer - HOWEVER...the clubs that are there now at the other end of the building (Honky Tonk Heaven, Froggy Bottoms and WECT) will remain in business. The other half of the building is shutting down, but pretty much all that was there was the fudge place and a few shops that didn't do any business anyway. None of the surrounding restaurants/bars are closing. Unforuntately, they've made it sound as if the entire West End area is closing, but that's not the case.
And they're not building condos. The owner has said that the building is not conducive to residential, and that it would not be used for retail, either.
Well, your ol buddy Doof is scratching his head on this one. I say just knock the sh*t down, set up a missle silo and throw rocks in it after it fills up with water. That's just me.
I heard they were going to turn the lower levels into a roller derby and use the upper levels to store penguins. You know, in case of another national emergency.
Hey, if you can't get the straight story, make up something fun.

My first thought was that if grass were Emo, it would get long and shaggy and whine about everything. I'd rather have happy grass.
Goth grass would be cool, though it, too, would have a tendency toward length.

Hmm. No condos, no retail, so what the hell are they going to do with the building?
